The STINGRAYS

The Stingrays play British and American 50’s & early 60’s Rock’n Roll. The band has been around for many years in various forms and line ups but now have got the music by the nuts and revving it up. In its present form are four well-seasoned players who got together with big Mark fronting the band on main vocals and the dynamic guitar solos of the past. Howard on Rhythm guitar and backing vocals taking the lead guitar spot from time to time, add in Robbie thumping away on Bass and his backing vocal then Vic on Drums and backing vocal and you just can’t help but tap yer foot or get up and Rock’n Roll all night! The band has gained many good reviews & recently featured in "UK Rock & Roll mag" & "Maggie's News" and are appearing around the country at Rock’n Roll event venues and clubs. 50’s & 60’s Guitars, Burns & Fenders, echo chambers and Marks Selmer amp makes the sound as British as it ever was. The band have two CD’s, both recorded live at The Bewick Suite, Maldon, Essex where the band is from. The first CD is all Instrumentals as performed at the Watford Pipeline Convention and their second CD has seventeen selected British & American covers of some great songs they perform from their vast repertoire.
